Domain Names
If you would like your Web address and e-mail addresses to reflect your business name you need to register a domain name.
We can register any domain name for you, and will set it up to work with your Web site and as many e-mail addresses as you require.

For example, if your company name is "Devon Landscapes" you may be interested in the following domains:

UK domain names (.co.uk, .org.uk, .net.uk, .ltd.uk) cost £20 to register for 2 years, most other domains (.com, .org, .net, European and other foreign domains etc.) cost £30 to register for 2 years. We can also register .uk.com, .uk.net, .gb.com, .gb.net and other similar domains at a cost of £75 for 2 years. These prices cover registration, pointing and e-mail forwarding, ie everything that is needed to use your domain.

We provide same-day set up on all domains (subject to standard naming requirements), and offer discounts for bulk registrations.

 
Hosting Your Web Site
Once you have a Web site, it must have a home on the internet, a place for the individual files to be stored. Normally you will have a domain name, and this will be set up to "point" at the location of your Web site. There are a few considerations when hosting a Web site, the main ones are speed and reliability. We use fast servers connected to the fibre optic super network in London, so our sites should always be lightning fast. Another consideration will clearly be cost, we offer the following packages:

10Mb of space is adequate for most Web sites, so we keep that option very low cost. If you have a lot of separate pages, or lots of images or files to download you may need one of our more spacious options. We offer additional dedicated hosting accounts for busy websites, costs depend on your exact requirements.

If you need secure space, eg for on-line transactions, this is charged at an additional £5 per month, with additional charges of £200pa if you would like us to set up a secure certificate for your domain name.

Listing Your Web Site With Search Engines
It has been said that putting a Web site on the Internet is akin to placing an advertisement card in a phone box in a small village. For people to find your business, you need to get it listed in the phone book. Or in the case of your Web site, you need to get it listed in the main search engines that people use to browse the Web.
