About Totnes

Totnes is an historic town set in the beautiful rolling hills of South Devon, England, lots of its buildings date from Elizabethan times. For many years Totnes has attracted a large number of tourists, especially during the summer when there is an Elizabethan market in the town centre with townsfolk dressed in traditional period costume. Situated on the delightful Dart river the town has also enjoyed an active trade.

More recently Totnes has become well known for reasons other than its history and natural beauty. It may be due to the town's rich history and local folk lore that the area has become one which attracts spiritual people of all sorts. There is a great deal of searching for inner peace and tranquillity. As a Christian group in the town we are very aware of peoples' hunger for spiritual answers and aim to make the powerful truth of Jesus' love available to all.

About Christians Together in Totnes

Christians Together In Totnes are a united body of churches, clergy and lay people who stand together to pray for and work in our town and the local area.

We have a committee which chairs the open meetings held roughly each quarter. The meetings are held to discuss possible events, programmes and schemes that can be run or supported by CTIT.

This site used to contain full information about each Christian group in Totnes, but this proved difficult to keep up-to-date.
